Windows 10 is using an absurd amount of storage. Can I reclaim most of it? Or even just a little. It's basically 96% of my Partition. I need the space back. Why is Windows 10 using over 480 Gigabytes of space?? 1c1185b0-8841-4f63-abfa-6cede7988350?upload=true.jpg

And yes, I know it says 930, but I have a different OS on the other half. A Different OS who NEVER acts this rowdy!

    :)

  2. Why is Windows 10 using over 480 Gigabytes of space??

Hi, thank you for your assistance.

The files in my temporary files folder are mostly my downloads, so I will attempt to search through that.

However, my main concern is that Windows system files are using over 90% of my HHD.

Also, the website you linked is in German, and translation shows that it is an error message.

Once again, thank you for your assistance.

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

Why is Windows 10 using over 480 Gigabytes of space??

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
