    Why is windows 11 only using 16gb ram when it recognises 32gb is installed?


    Specs:MOBO: b450 Tomahawk maxRAM: 4 x 8gb Corsair vengeance DDR4 3200MHzCPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700xGPU: RTX 3070Any help is greatly appreciated :.

    16gb ram vs 32gb ram Upgrade

    8 GB's is what I would tell everybody to have as a minimum. For gamer or power user, I suggest going to 16GB of RAM. 32GB or more RAM I usually only see for people who are running lots of VM's, databases, or high end rendering type applications.

    I have 8gb and will be upgrading to 16gb ram. But then i saw how there is 32gb ram ... price is double that of 16gb ram.


    Now is there any point of upgrading a laptop to 32gb ram? Or its a complete waste? I mean i know i could always upgrade to 32gb ram in the future but if i do that, i could always get something for my 16gb ram selling it on ebay right?


    Someone mentioned since i have an old machine dell xps 15 9550 and 8gb ram... 16gb should be fine.

    The 16GB of RAM in my build was $134. If you can find 32Gb of decent RAM for less than that... grab it, fast.
