    Why does it take 30 days to change a Windows password?

    Hello,

    I want to change my Windows \ Hotmail \ Skype password. I am using Windows 10 pro and went to Settings, change password and I received an email stating it I would receive a code in 30 days and this would allow me to change it.

    Why does it take 30 days to change a password, surely this is a massive flaw if a user needs to change their password urgently?

    Why does it take 30 days to change a Windows password?

    So, what you did is UPDATED THE SECURITY INFO of your account and you have to wait 30 days now.

    If you´re looking for change your password before 30 days you could try another option like to fill out an form (Account Recovery Form) here
    Recover your account
