Why is windows defender sabotaging power users?

Why is windows defender implemented such as to be an annoyance if not outright malicious to power users and security researchers? No application should ever delete user files without permission, no meter what it things about those files!!!Why is there no option to make defender if it finds something it wants to object to only block read access to that file and then ask the user how to proceed?Instead defender just deletes files without user permission! In the end any user that needs to deal with a wide variety of potentially suspicious files is forced to permanently disable WD to avoid his files

    :)

  2. Windows 10 immediately goes to that same user without being stopped at the site of choice and Windows Defender does not start automatically

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand the inconvenience you are facing currently. Let me help you in resolving the issue.

Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

Method 1: First I suggest you to reboot the system and check if see the switch user option.

If you still don’t see the option then I would suggest you to perform the below step and check if you can see switch user option.

On the login screen press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and check if you can see the switch user option.

Method 2: I suggest you to check the following settings and see if that helps:

    • Press Windows Key + R and then type "gpedit.msc". Press "Enter" and click
      "OK".
    • From the Computer Configuration tree, expand the Administrative Templates and then expand Windows Components.
    • Click Windows Defender.
    • You will see a list of settings. Make sure that "Turn off Windows Defender" is set to "Disabled" and click "Ok".

Hope the information helps. Please let us know if the issue persist and we will be happy to assist you further.

  4. Kreij Win User

Why is windows defender sabotaging power users?

Current active users that are friends

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.
