Windows 10: Why is windows design so flawed that a wifi card stops using internet traffic after 5...

It's so aggravating, eventually you'd think devs would figure out how to design something in Windows that doesn't simply break by their own development errors.

Recommendation for WiFi usb / card

If you have a desktop computer I would STRONGLY suggest a PCIe adapter rather than a USB adapter if you go with WiFi 6. The only USB WiFi adapters that I have seen thus far use a Realtek chipset which is reported to have some serious flaws. In my own personal experience, I have tried 2 of these and returned both, getting performance worse than other WiFi 5 adapters and constant disconnects even 10 feet from my WiFi router. If you go with a USB adapter, I would suggest a quality WiFi 5 adapter. One more note: Should you decide to go with a WiFi 6 PCIe adapter, I would suggest a WiFi 6e model. They actually cost no more, and they are one step up just in case you ever go to a WiFi 6e router.

 

Wifi card suddenly stops with no error

(note: restarting the laptop fixes this until it happens again) this is something that happens randomly, I'll be doing something (usually requiring internet) and all the sudden the wifi card disappears from the connections list. I cannot see why this happens and it seems to happen randomly with no pattern. Opening device manager to the wifi card says that it has an error code 14 and that I need to restart to fix it, if I go the the details tab under Status I get these messages

and under problem code I get this

this is fixed by restarting but this happens 2-4 times a day and gets really annoying

 

Nokia N8 design flaw.

I believe the design engineers would've picked this flaw up on their very first trial run if it were there. This isn't their first phone with WiFi, you know. Anyway, the 'Contact Us' link is up there.
