Windows 10: Why is Windows not preparing correctly when I turn on my computer?

In the past month, I have an issue whenever I turn on my computer after shutting it down the previous night. When I initially turn on my laptop, I am informed that the user profile cannot be loaded, and I cannot log in to my account. I restart my computer, and it then allows me to log in. However, it fails to load Windows properly. The best way to describe it is that it "defaults" my computer into a "default" account. It has a pre-loaded image as the background, has a few icons of applications I do not use i.e., Microsoft Edge, and centers the taskbar. This is where I restart my computer for

After updating window with following patches, it shows following message after restart.

Preparing to configure Windows. / Do not turn off your computer.

Installed patches number :

KB4489878

KB4474419

I have installed one patch as a time to check window, but message still shows after patches are installed over 30 minutes.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

The error message "Preparing to configure windows. Do not turn off your computer." usually happens when you are performing a process and it was interrupted or encountered a corruption.

Computer won't turn on

To resolve your concern regarding the Critical Service Failed error message on your computer, follow the steps below:

• Turn off your computer.
• Turn on your computer. As soon as you see the Windows logo with the spinning dots, press and hold down the power button until your computer turns off. Do this process
  twice.
• Turn on your computer for the third time, and then let it load.
• It should give you the message: Preparing Automatic Repair.
• On the next screen that would appear, click on Advanced Options.
• Select Troubleshoot.
• Go to Advanced Options.
• Click on Startup Repair.
• Wait for the repair to finish.
