  2. Windows 11: Please add support for the Intel i7-6820HK CPU @ 2.70 Ghz processor in Windows 11.

    My Alienware gaming laptop is more than powerful enough for Windows 11.

    It meets all the criteria required for Windows 11 except one: Unsupported processor.

    It has Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, 16GM RAM, 512GB SSD, nVidia graphics, etc, etc.

    There seems to be no reason why this processor shouldn't be supported by Windows 11 when the system meets all the other requirements.

    Please consider adding the support for the Intel i7-6820HK CPU @ 2.70 Ghz with 4 cores.

    Thank you

    windows 11 and i7-6700

    My desktop is Dell Optiplex 7010 with i7 6700 @3,4 GHz (quote core).

    Microsoft upgrade site showed me " this processor isnt currently supported for windows11"

    however my laptop Asus vivobook A510U with i5 8th-Gen processor is supported for windows 11.

    I think microsoft has made a mistake by claiming that;

    • Processors/CPUs (Central Processing Units): 1 Ghz or faster with 2 or more cores. The processor in your PC will be a main determining factor for running Windows 11. The clock speed (the 1 Ghz or faster requirement) and number of cores (2 or more) are inherent to the processor design as it was manufactured and are not considered upgradable components.
    It sounds like they base one the built generation 8th gen and above, instead of process clock speed or 2 core or above.

    i7-7700 CPU with 3.60 GHZ not supported??

    I have i7-7700 CPU with 3.60 GHZ. PC Health Check app checks all the requirements as compatible, but fails with CPU not supported. Is this CPU number a miss from the list? I see many other i7 (7800X, 8700, 9700) as supported. Wondering why 7700 is left out from the list.
