Windows 10: Why isn't Windows 11 signing out the current user when the computer sleeps?

In Windows 11 on my Dell Inspiron 5570 laptop the current user account is not getting signed out when the computer sleeps. After I wake the laptop, when I try to sign in a different user using my fingerprint I get the message 'Someone else is signed in on this device and must sign out before you can sign in'. Note that this is machine specific;; I do not have this problem on either of my tower computers.

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

 

upgrade to Windows 11

I am using surface pro5 w/ i5-7300U processor @2.60Mhz. I run PC Health Check and received "The processor isn`t currently supported for Windows 11" message. I check acceptable processor list for window 11 upgrade, i5-7300U is in tthe list. What is the problem for my computer.

 

Computer Sleep Option Missing in Settings

The Settings Power and Sleep menu in Settings should list Screen and Sleep, where Sleep is used to tell when the PC goes to sleep. Sleep is missing, so my computer never sleeps. Fast startup and Hibernate are not enabled. I used Tutorial Add or Remove Sleep in Power menu in Windows 10 to change the registry while in administrative mode, but sleep still is not seen. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FlyoutMenuSettings now lists :1: It was 0 before the change.

I cannot get a large image, so will type Default REG_SZ (value not set) ShowHibernate REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (0) ShowLockOption REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (1) ShowLockOption REG_DWORD 0X00000000 (1) I used Option 3 to add sleep using the Group Policy Editor. The steps seemed to work fine, but sleep is still missing. I’m using a “new” refurbished Dell T3500 workstation with mbr running the current version of win10. I have a number of these computers, and the other all have the normal sleep mode . Any suggestions? Jim
