Windows 10: Why isn't windows updates showing a driver in optional udpates for my hp psc 1400 printer?...

the workaround by downloading the driver directly, it STILL wont update the device manager or print from queue in the proper format it just prints test page after test page after test page instead of the item queued !!

Follow the steps to update driver.

  Press Windows +
  X, click on Device Manager.

  In the list of hardware categories, look for the device that you want to update, and then double-tap or double-click the device name.

  Update Driver, and then follow the instructions.

Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

• The Troubleshooting window will now open. From the left menu, select “View All“
• From the list that opens, select “Printer” and a new window will open
• Follow the steps of the troubleshooter and apply the fixes that are given.
