Windows 10: why MGSV latest version doesnt work on win11

just upgraded from 10 to 11 but sadly the game doesnt work on win11not only me its for everyone

Touch screen doesnt work after latest update

Hi,

What I have:

• Porsche Book One.
• Running: Win 10 Pro
• Version: 1803
• Build: 17134.228

Problem 1: After latest update (1803) the touchscreen doesnt work anymore, like it is non-responsive whatsoever

Problem 2: Touchpad doesnt turn off. There is a shortcut key to disable the touchpad (F7) but it doesnt respond at all anymore.

I have had the exact same issues before when there was a larger Win10 update (just cant remember which one). I did work with the Porsche support but since we tested with the same HW, but different OS versions, and the one that didnt upgrade OS version had
no issues and the other one had issues, we concluded that it has to do with the MS update.

Then came another OS update and all of the sudden both problems were gone. No FW updates between that period that could have affected the change.

So, now its back....again. The manufacturer cant do anything, but to wait for MS to fix in the next release I guess?

Anyhow, I thought atleast I could post it here and hope that an MS representative would read and send the feedback back to the correct team to fix this.

Snip & Sketch - saving to Desktop sometimes works and sometimes does Not work (Win11)

On Win11 Snip & Sketch sometimes copies from the clipboard to the desktop and sometimes does Not

copy to the Desktop. The failed copies are listed in the recent action list, but when accessed Win11 gives

the error that "file has been moved"....

So I went into Settings to check that "Autocopy to Clipboard" was On

I noticed that there was also a setting for "Save Snips" which gives a confirmation

box when doing a save - so I set this to On

Somehow confirming the save seems to have fixed the problem, adding a step is a drag, but

at least now snip & sketch has been working every time

 

What kind of quad.

I suspect you are at "the edge" of the power rating for the mainboard. Perhaps Q6600 wasnt listed due to TWO versions, C3 stepping at 105W and G0 stepping at 95W. Furthermore, if you OC the G0 Q6600 then it will use more than 95W. Since Q9300 is on a 1333 buss, then perhaps the BIOS doesnt give you scope to OC it, keeping it well withing the 95W envelope.

My suggestion is, if the mainboard is important to you and you dont want to blow the power regulators or caps, to NOT OC the Q6600. Take the thing out of design spec (by OC'ing it) and you may very well rapidly reduce the half-life of your board.

Also, as erocker suggests, there are 65W quads out now. I think those are better suited to this mainboard.
