Windows 10: Why my computer locked me out and keep asking me to provide a challenge question???

I have never added a challenge question when I got my computer new... now I am **** locked out and I am about to go nuts and destroy a brand new computer that I have bought 6 month ago.... Give me a real answer no blah blah as such reboot your computer holding the shift button and do this and that I have alrrady tried also reset my computer also....

Challenge phase requested on every start up

Hi, someone tried to access my computer a couple of weeks ago now and I am now getting asked to complete a challenge phase every time I start up before I can enter my pin.

The fix was listed as ...

1. Press Windows key + R to launch the Run command.
2. Type netplwiz and press Enter.
3. On the User Accounts window, select your username and uncheck Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.
4. Click Apply.
5. Type your Password twice and click OK.
6. Restart your PC and redo the steps in reverse to enable the sign in with password again.
7. Restart your PC again and see if the challenge phrase would still occur.

However maybe as I am administrator I am not being offered the option to uncheck users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

windows 10 keeps locking up why?

• When you say that the computer keeps locking, does it happen due to inactivity or does it happen while you’re working on the computer?
  
• Does the computer go into sleep mode or does it lock the currently logged-in user account?
  
• After the computer is locked or after it goes into sleep mode, what happens when you try to sign in to your system or try to wake the system up?
  
  
  

Please reply with the information requested above for us to have the clear understanding of the issue and suggest the appropriate troubleshooting steps.

Random Auto-Locking of Computer Screen

Nobody suggested checking out Event Viewer?

When your computer randomly locks, search for, and open: Event Viewer

Under Windows Logs, Check out:
• Application
• Security, and
• System

See if you can find something that states anything that could be related to your computer locking. The newest events are listed at the top of each section, so finding an event log would be pretty easy to find. Hopefully we can find what is causing the computer to lock.
