  2. disk usage at 50% and hdd usage at 100%

Thank you for your message. Please follow these steps and let me know if your C drive is an HDD or SSD:

    1. Open Task Manager.
    2. Click on the "Performance" tab at the top, next to "Processes."
    3. Look for "Disk 0" and "Disk 1" in the left sidebar.
    4. Identify the one that shows "C:" next to it.
    5. Check the details of this disk to see if it's labeled as an SSD or HDD, based on the storage type or the name of the drive.
If you need any further assistance, feel free to ask!

Disk C and Disk D switched places after BSOD

Thanks for the generous reply and in-depth help on the problem I'm currently facing! But unfortunately, I can't do step 6 due to my disability that may make it hard to take apart my laptop but will do my best if possible. I will still do step 1-5 as if the results allow it, I may not need to do step 6 anymore (big if).

Also is it too late to tell an observation I just noticed? My laptop boots suspiciously fast even though it's an HDD, I have used it in the past as my only drive before I got an SSD so I know how slow it is to boot windows on it. So that got me thinking, my Disk C (SSD) and Disk D (HDD) swapped places but why does it seem like my laptop boots as fast as if the OS is installed on my SSD (currently Disk D) even though disk manager and file explorer shows me it is installed on my HDD (currently Disk C)?

  4. why my disk c is hdd and not ssd?

Automatic repair while booting from hdd and installing windows on ssd.

    1. Migrated windows from hdd to ssd
    2. Formatted hdd
    3. Prioritised boot from ssd in bios
    4. Turned on the pc
    5. Automatic repair

To deal with this I select boot from a device > then EFI USB device > it says no bootable USB detected, select from these drives > there are few options including the newly installed ssd > I select ssd > then it shows disk checking, press any key to stop > I stop it > windows then boots from ssd.

It very difficult to repeat all this everytime I turn on my pc. Please suggest a fix.
