Windows 10: why my external keyboard is not working while entering the bios setup??

my external keyboard is not working while entering the bios setup.. when i turn on my laptop it gets stuck on a black screen.. my laptops internal keyboard is also not working. for entering the boot menu.. i cant do anything .. please help me with a solution for this

Suggest you to plug in an external keyboard to check if that helps.

Follow these steps to launch the On-screen keyboard:

• 
  Press Windows key + R to get the run window.
  
• 
  Type “osk” and hit enter to launch the On-screen keyboard and check if this helps.

New PC build, keyboard not detected, can’t enter bios

The K800 keyboard has a rechargeable battery. Turn the power switch to on. Make sure battery status is OK. Otherwise, use the cable that came with the keyboard to charge its battery.

I have a Logitech MK550 (wireless keyboard & mouse combo).

• Keyboard: Logitech K350
• Mouse: Logitech M510

Both the keyboard and mouse worked during the Windows 10 installation. I only installed other software later. The software was only for button configuration and battery status.

Note I have never had to use a wired keyboard with my computer. Wireless works fine even in the BIOS.
