Windows 10: WHy my laptops don't have separate option for Headphone and Speaker?

In my thinkpad T480 and my Asus zenbook 13 I can't find separate option to switch between headphone and speaker.How can I choose speaker while headphone is still plugged in. In My brothers laptop I saw two different option for headphone and speaker.

Volumes for headphones and speakers are separate

1. Are you changing the volume on headphone or from the sound icon in the taskbar of the system?

2. How are you trying to change the speaker volume?

I suggest you to run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.

Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Also try to download and install the latest chipset and Sound drivers from the manufacturer website and install the same.

How can I adjust the volume of headphone and laptop speaker separately?

How can I adjust the volume on my headphone and laptop speakers separately? For example, I want to mute my laptop speakers but on my headphone, I want it on 50. Is there anyway I can adjust them differently?
