• Open a webpage in Microsoft Edge.
• Click the three dots at top right corner.
• Choose Open with Internet Explorer.
• Right Click and click on create shortcut.
• The shortcut shall open in Microsoft Edge, if it is your default browser.

Desktop shortcuts in Edge browser

Please suggest how to open a certain webpage from desktop shortcut in MS Edge new window? All shortcut adding techniques I tried open the desired webpage in a new Edge Tab instead of new window, if Edge was previously open before the shortcut is clicked.
Opening a shortcut in a new window is very important in a multi-monitor setup, where different websites are open in Edge on different monitors.

That is the issue itself. The RT click for desktop shortcut has been the way for I.E. and perhaps other browsers for the last 20 plus years. That way does not work for win10/Edge. Hence these alternatives . One being the subscribed Edge way, and the other
is the one I suggested. There may be other ways tried and worked, but for me the two stated work well.
