Did not receive the Microsoft Account Verification Code

I'm Jen, I'm also an Outlook account user just like you. I'm not working for Microsoft but I'd be happy to help you figure this out.

I understand you're not receiving a verification code for your Microsoft account. If your security info's are up to date, you may be experiencing delays receiving the code which I have also experienced before. But if you have already waited too long and have made a couple of attempts, I suggest following the suggested steps in the "Troubleshooting verification code issues" section on the support page below.

MS Account ADD Phone Number to 'Your Info' - sms CODE not working

Hello all,

Trying to add phone number to my account info specifically under 'Your Info' tab along the top of microsoft account landing homepage.

• From there I click 'Manage your sign in email and phone number'
• then I click add phone number
• Country code +1 for Canada
• xxx-xxx-xxxx for phone number (obviously with my proper phone number which i've triple checked...several times)
• I receive SMS from microsoft with 4-digit code
• I enter the code and receive the following prompt in the same pop-up window

"That code didn't work. Check the code and try again."

**** mate? The code THEY send me doesn't work!!!

been having nothing but problems with microsoft lately...

this all started with me not being able to log into onedrive, which I also still cant do, but i'm going to investigate that further before asking for help to get as specific as with my issue as above.

Microsoft Account Password Reset

Thanks for the reply, but it does not help me. The website does not proceed past step 4. After entering the security code, the website does not proceed to step 5. It does not give an error message, it simply greys out the next and cancel buttons and hangs
indefinitely.

Reset your password

If you can't remember your password, follow these steps to get into your account.

• Go to the Reset your password page.
• Choose the reason you need your password reset, then click Next.
  
• Enter the email address you used when you made your Microsoft account. This could be any email address, or an email ending in a Microsoft domain like hotmail.com or outlook.com.
  
• Enter the characters you see on the screen (this lets us know you’re not a robot), then click Next.
  
• If you've added security info to your account, we'll send a one-time code to the alternate phone number or email address you gave us. After you enter that code on the next screen, you'll be able to make a new password.

I'll try your "Get account help by email" suggestion and post the solution here when I've found one.
