Windows 10: why not more patches for installed 1809 versions

I am running the release version of 1809 as of october 3rd, updated once to version 17763.55. Was not bothered with the "missing files" bug. So i am happily using it. However...

Since there are several other bugs reported on the internet and as it seems that Microsoft already has patches for several of them, why doesnt Microsoft patches these systems with in between patches/cumulative updates or whatever you want to call them via windows update?


It seems that the people who are using 1809 (and are not in any preview rings) are left out in the cold. Why do we have to wait until a new official rollout of 1809 has passed through all the insider rings? We are already using it and need fixes asap to prevent further mishaps so we can use our systems with confidence!


I am not waiting for a default answer from the workfloor, but want this discussed on management levels.

Windows 10 version 1809

Hi Nikos,

Microsoft are currently patching version 1809 so that can be released again.

For those that have already installed version 1809, you can expect a patch/update to be released at the same time which you will receive through the normal Windows Update process . . .

 

WMP for version 1809...


My Windows 10 N, version 1803 had used Windows Media Player via installing it from the "Windows_MediaFeaturePack_x64_1803.msu" file.

Updating to 1809 removed the WMP and no longer available in the apps list:





There's an updated version listed at:

But clicking on the link and looking for the 1809 in the drop down list of versions does not show the media feature pack available for download for 1809; instead it shows version 1709 and 1803.

Does anyone have a direct link to WMP for Windows 10 N, version 1809?

EVGA Releases SLI Enhancement Patch Version 8 (03.30.09)

EVGA released another version of its SLI Enhancement Patch, version 8 (03.30.09), its third one for this month alone. The patch works in conjunction with the installed NVIDIA GeForce driver, in providing SLI support to games through SLI profiles. The support is game-specific, and each release of the patch expands the support-base. The new version is based on NVIDIA driver 182.46. The following games are added to the support list, apart from all the games already supported by the patch:

• Battlefield Heroes
• Stormrise
• Weapons of Fate
• Jumpgate Evolution
• Age of Booty
• Football Manager '05-'09
