Windows 10: Why nothing happens when I select the properties of an app/file?

Hello, I have recently discovered that I cannot open the properties tab when I right click an app or file or anything in my PC. I have ran the sfc /scannow command multiple times now and it's saying that I have corrupt files that couldn't be fixed when it reaches 60% on the scan. I have reset my pc with the remove everything option on local files I wanted to do a cloud reinstall but it wouldn't work but the issue still persists, I cannot open the properties tab and the sfc is still saying that I got corrupt files even after a clean reset. What other options are there for me?

File selection lost continuously

  Are you trying to access detail pane under view tab or right click on the file and select properties and details?
  
• 
  What are the steps you have followed to open the details view?
  

I would suggest you open the folder which contains PDF files and click on view and check details pane and check if you are able to get the details view.

Non-Store Default Apps for a file protocol in windows 10

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to follow the below steps.

1) Right click on the file and select choose another app to open. It will display the list of apps to open.

2) If the app is not listed then select more apps and check if you can find it.

Can't Select Photoshop as a Default App

Hi
I've just downloaded Photoshop CC2018 and tried to make it the default photo viewer, but it does not appear in the list of apps that I can select from. Have also tried doing the same for opening .jpg files, but just the same, no Photoshop! I have rebooted the system a couple of times but it makes no difference.

Any suggestions?
