    Why on Earth is my mobile hotspot turning off on it's own?


    To make a long story short, I'm running a dual band wifi adapter out onto my balcony with a 20 foot USB cord to my Acer Predator to get internet right now. To make a longer story short, Comcast sucks but I'm sure a lot of you already knew that.

    Now! The fun part--

    I'm using my PC as a mobile hotspot to shoot the signal out to my other devices which include my Google Pixel phone, Firestick, etc, etc. Now despite this working as it should sometimes (and a little too frequently I might add) the hotspot just turns himself off. I'll be in the middle of watching something on HBO Max or Netflix, something then boom connection lost. I look down at my PC and sure enough.. the hotspot has turned itself off. The power saving mode is also NOT turned on but it's still doing this.

    Anyone else run into this issue? Are there any suggestions to fix it?

    Windows 10 Mobile Hotspot Not working

    Hi,

    Your Bluetooth connection may be enabled which prevents you from setting up your mobile hotspot. To have this addressed, we suggest turning off the Bluetooth connection and see if you're able to set up your mobile hotspot. Follow these steps:

    • Open Settings and select Devices.
    • Click Bluetooth, then toggle it OFF.

    Once done, check if you can now turn on your computer's mobile hotspot. Let us know how it goes.

    Hi.

    I'm on Windows 10 Pro version 1909 trying to cast my Android phone to Windows 10 with Mobile Hotspot turned on.

    The phone is connected to the internet with Windows 10 Mobile Hotspot, but the screen cast is only is working when Mobile Hotspot is turned off.

    Is there a way to screen cast with Mobile Hotspot turned on ?
