Windows 10: why partition 3 is missing in diskpart list

i want to enable winre but whe i run reagentc /enable it says reagent.exe not found so i try a tutorial but in the tutorial in diskpart list i don't have partition 3 type:RecoveryPartition### Type Size Offset----------- -------------------- ---------- ---------Partition1 Primary 47 MB 31 KBPartition2 Primary 119GB 47 MBbut in the tutorial it writesPartition### Type Size Offset----------- -------------------- ---------- ---------Partition1

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that

 

diskpart doesn't show disk

Hey,

I am trying to install Win10 on a mac book air.

However the diskpart does not list the disk even after reformatting the partition as NTFS per suggestion.

read through this solution but cannot move to step 1 listed in the solution by Ivan as that disk doesn't see that partition it was just able to reformat.

diskpart - detail partition Active flag missing

So I had the need today to find what partition on a system disk was marked as Active. The installed Windows version is Windows 10 Pro 20H2 build 19042.867. I proceeded as I normally do opening an admin command prompt and running diskpart commands:

• list disk
• select disk
• list partition
• detail partition

In the past detail partition would display the Active flag as either Yes or NO. Now nothing, does anyone know what happened to this flag? Without it there is no way to know what partition on disk is active, is this an oversight by MS?
