Windows 10: Why "Pinch-to-zoom with touchpad" generates Ctrl keypress ?

First off, I need pinch-to-zoom feature.But whenever I pinch, why does keypress event Ctrl also generated ?This happens when the mouse cursor is on most window parts, such as title bar, taskbar, and even the entire window of certain apps, say Word, but not Excel.Sometimes the fired Ctrl event got stuck, so when I press other key it acts as modifier key.Can't pinch-to-zoom generates only mouse wheel event without the Ctrl key event ?Thank you.

pinch zoom fixes do not work

I do not have a touchpad. I never said I did. But the posted solution indicates at this is the easy way to Disable Pinch Zoom. that is why I looked for a registry solution


Educate us on Gaming Laptops. They do not have a touchpad ?

Edit: Just saw post above. Looks like it does have touchpad. If so, try my suggestion in post #3 which should disable pinch zoom for the system.

Disable Pinch Zoom

To better assist you with your concern, I'd like to know the following:

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
2. Click OK.

• It would be best if you can send me a screenshot of your touchpad settings. You can use the
  Snipping Tool to capture screenshots.

Meanwhile, try to perform the steps below and check if you can disable the pinch to zoom feature:

1. Click on Start, search for Control Panel and click on it.

2. Search for Mouse and click on it.

3. In the Mouse Properties window, look for
Device Settings tab. Click on Settings.

4. On the left side of the window should be an option that says Pinch Zoom, click that and then uncheck the box forEnable Pinch Zoom and click
OK to save changes.
