    Hello, good time. At first, when I had Windows 10, I wanted to try Windows 11, but this did not last. I completely understand that there must be a profit for the company, the more the better, but this is not the case for Windows 11, which has always had complaints. Do not put yourself in a position of anger and nervousness, not all of your users have the possibility to upgrade and replace their system quickly, and after four years they cannot buy a system that meets the needs of Windows. Please pay special attention to the economic situation. Don't sacrifice quantity for quality, please. Windo

    improving and optimize my pc with windows 10?


    how can I improve performance/optimize and make my computer on windows 10 faster and more efficient for free(examples.. turning off background apps or anything else) suggestions?
    are there any free apps that can help?

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.



    I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.


    • What exactly happens when you try to optimize the drive?

    • Are you getting any error message?

    • Since when are you facing this issue?


    I suggest you to use Administrator account to perform Optimization and check if it helps.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below.


    • Go to Search, type services.msc and hit Enter

    • Make sure that following services are set to Automatic:

    • Remote Procedure Call (RPC).

    • DCOM Server Process Launcher.

    • RPC Endpoint Mapper.

    Just try it through Windows update, you shouldn`t have any issues.

    Excellent question Navy, that`s probabaly why. If not then, as suggested, just use the Media Creation Tool and choose upgrade this PC in Step 3.
