Windows 10: Why SSD hard drive volume extend option is not shown after deleting spare volume on its...

Hi,I want to merge the spare space on the partition of same drive on windows 10.I have deleted that spare drive space and right click on the Main drive C: to extend it but extend option is grey and not active.I am attaching a screenshot herewith.Please advise.ThanksRegards,Farrukh Hyder

Can't Extend Volume of hard drive.

Hello,

I have formatted and deleted a partition on my hard drive resulting in unallocated space. I wish to extend the hard drive C: volume into the unallocated space, but can't as this option is greyed out in disk management. How can I achieve extending the hard
drive C: volume? I'm on Windows 10 64-bits.

I want to extend so your answer is really frustrating ans. I want to extend so why should i shrink and select extend? Extend option is already Dim or unavailable?

 

OS (C Drive - Extending the Volume

I've recently purchased a new laptop and came across a problem regarding the storage volume. It seems there's an arbitrary partition where C: drive has 100GB allocated and the remaining 900GB+ is unallocated. When I tried to extend the volume of C: to include
the 900GB, the option to extend the volume was grayed out and unusable.

Unfortunately, I just don't know enough to figure out why all that space is unallocated and why I can't extend the volume of the C: drive. Searching for the answer yielded a lot of suggestions for third-party software, but I'd like to avoid that solution
if possible. Are there any other options?
