Windows 10: Why TF Am I Not Getting My Authentication Texts?

Can someone explain why, when I clearly set my preference to receive authentication codes via text, I’m not getting them? Instead, some genius decided to default it back to email, which I did not authorize as my main method.Your system is painfully slow, unhelpful, and keeps making me go in circles while I wait for a text that never comes. If I wanted to waste half my day staring at a broken 2FA screen, I’d just reboot Windows 95 for fun.Fix this. Or at least explain why it’s broken—preferably in a way that doesn’t involve more useless links or "helpful" articles that solve nothing.

Unable to "get media content" from text messages.

My Nokia 920 on ATT was showing this exact error "getting media content" for a long time... finally spent a chunk of time attempting all suggestions above...

FIXED:

1. Created New MMS APN (steps here: http://buzzmobile.us/att-apn-settings-mms-windows-phone/ )
   • still didn't work
2. Deleted MMS APN
3. Group messages started working!! No more "getting media content", it just shows up.

Note: Didn't help

- WiFi on/off

- Back up text on/off

- Group text on/off

- Data on/off

 

TFS 2015 proxy setup

Hi, I am trying to set up TFS proxy but I am unable to connect to the main server. I need exact steps to guide me.

Please help. This is rather urgent.

 

I am not getting text authentication

I am currently not receiving my text authentications for my Microsoft account. This started when my I booted up my desktop and it gave me an error code of 0x80280013, which states I must reset my pin. When continuing through the prompt, It asked to authenticate my account with either the app or text. I have not set up my authenticator app on my phone so I can only go with a text message code. For what ever reason I am not receiving any messages sending me a code. The last code I've received from Microsoft over text was on February 5th.
