why the hell does touchpad freeze when typing or playing games, no one is answering my question. My experience with windows has been horrible

How to enable touchpad while typing

Whenever I try to use my touchpad while typing/gaming, the mouse will either freeze and stick for varying durations, or the touchpad will work while typing for a few seconds then freeze and stick even when not typing for varying durations. My device is a new Dell Precision 5570 with Windows 11 installed, and system updates are up to date. I've combed through the Touchpad and Mouse setting but can't find the setting to turn of disabling touchpad while typing.

Issue with Touchpad freezing

I suggest you to install all pending updates on the system, restart the computer and check the status of the issue. Further, try the below methods and check if the issue is resolved.

Method 1: Run the Hardware troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps to run the troubleshooter:

a. Type Troubleshooting and click Troubleshooting under
Settings.

b. Now type Hardware Troubleshooter in the search option.

c. Click on Hardware troubleshooter to run the troubleshooter.

Further you can try updating the driver software.

Method 2: Update the touchpad driver:

Follow these steps to update the driver.

• Press “Windows Key + X” from the keyboard.
• Type “Device Manager” without quotes in the search box and hit enter.
• Right click on the touchpad drivers and select
  “Update Driver Software”.
• Restart the computer.
