    Why the sudden appearance of "A GENERIC ERROR OCCURRED IN GDI+"???


    A generic error occurred in GDI+. at System.Drawing.Image.SelectActiveFrameFrameDimension dimension, Int32 frameIndex when making a C# call in windows WPF Worked perfectly on 10-aug-2023 BEFORE the .NET 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 update. No code has changed.This morning before I rebooted my machine it was at IMAGE.Save _memoryStream, FormatOptions.Tiff;I run through the first iteration of the call i.e. at frameIndex=0 but when I try to get the next image from the TIFF file, i.e. at frameIndex=1, this error happens.Anyone else with this issue?Anyone with the answer?

    A generic error occurred in GDI+

    Hi All,

    I have installed a developed system on .net framework 3.5 platform in Windows 10 PCs. I use unicode for data entering in Sinhala. All four machines were automatically updated on last month. After the update, screens which display connected fonts of Sinhala
    such as ්‍ය, ත්‍රි etc. have a red cross and it shows an error message called 'A generic error occurred in GDI+'. I read some articles and they have suggested to use latest versions of .net framework. So I compiled all the dll files using .net framework 4.5.
    But the issue was not solved yet. When I removed those connected fonts and checked, the system works properly. Server was not updated and it works properly.

    GDI+ Window Computer Freeze

    GDI+ was not completely migrated like GDI was when Windows Vista and above were being developed. Not many programs use GDI+ and those that do tend to be older.

    Windows 10 Creator's Edition also shows GDI+ errors which suggests MSFT still has not fixed the API completely.
