    WHY THERE'S A PARTITION CALLED RESTORE AND A HIDDEN FILE INSIDE CALLED RECOVERY?


    The Restore partition,ITS TAKING 22 GB OF MY SSD. AS I HAD INSTALLED LINUX BEFIRE IT CREATED ON THE SAME MOMENT BUT ITS ONLY VISBLE IN WINDOWS file explorer as restore. i cant delet it from the disk managemnt utility.

    how to restore pc from recovery partition

    Hello,

    I've hp dv 6226tx.

    I've ost my recovery disks and i need to reinstall windows vista in my laptop.

    it has d: as recovery partition, nut i had created 3 other partition too in my hdd.

    is it possible to restore my laptop using this partition? if yes, how?

    I've tried F11 but it does nothing and F10 leads to bios setup.

    Hidden partitions after cloning

    This is a computer I built several years ago (E6300).
    I have upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Pro.
    I have cloned the HDD to an SSD. (I eventually figured out how using Macrium Reflect. There was another D: partition for which I used Aomei Partition Assistant to combine it with C:.)
    This is what Disk Management shows now:

    Notice that the recovery partition is empty, although there is something in the other hidden partition.
    1. What is typically in a recovery partition? Anything related to using Create a Restore Point?
    2. What might be in the other (350MB) hidden partition?
    3. Can either of these be safely deleted? Not that the space is needed but I'd just like to know.

    I understand that a partition ahead of C: cannot be combined with C:, but the unused 450MB recovery partition could be.

    Suggestions/discussion appreciated.

    P.S. I cloned another computer and the recovery partition ended up being called D:. ???

    Unhiding Hidden Recovery Partition In Windows 10

    Hi

    I am farely new to this subject and problem. I recently purchased an Acer Aspire ES1-531 V1.11 laptop and after setting up the laptop, I noticed that I could not see my recovery partition on my hard drive in my drives list in file explorer, so I then figured
    out how to un hide hidden partitions and my recovery partition finally showed in file explorer. But after 1 hour the recovery partition on my hard drive dissapeared again. How can I correct this. Thanks
