Windows 10: Why TurboTax will not run in Windows 11 on my new HP 15.6 laptop?

TurboTax will not run in Windows 11 on my new HP 15.6 laptop. I have installed and uninstalled theTurboTax program 3 times and It installs successfully. TurboTax will run on my older HP Latitude laptop with updated windows 10. Worked with the HP tech for 2 hours and they stated it was a window operating system problem. I talked with TurboTax tech for 4 hrs and we identified new laptop with windows 11 did not have the ‘.network 3.5 and 4.8’ toggled on these features were toggled on with my old laptop with Windows 10. How do I open TurboTax in my windows 11

TurboTax installs and updates ok on my windows 11 desktop but will not open. Not as administrator. Compatability checker figures i'm running Windows 8. Does anyone have suggestions? My windows 11 is up to date and the file works on my windows 11 laptop but not my desktop.

 

Cannot run new or old installations of turbotax after upgrade to Win 10

This issue might occur if the turbotax application is not compatible to run on Windows 10.

I suggest you to try installing the turbotax in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Note: Applies to Windows 10 as well.



For the issue related to booting the system, I suggest you to perform startup repair and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Select Advance Option.
  
• 
  Select Startup Repair.
  
• 
  Follow the on Screen instruction.

Laptop not listed in Devices in Microsoft Account

Hi. When I log into my Microsoft account and check under Devices, I only see 3 out of 4 devices that I use with the account. Listed are two nokia windows phones running win 8.1 and 1 hp stream 11 laptop running windows 10.

My main hp-15 laptop running windows 10 is not listed.

I've tried the steps here:

Add a trusted device to your Microsoft account - Microsoft Support

to make it a trusted device but it doesn't make my hp-15 laptop listed.
