Windows 10: why was i banned from minecraft

I have been banned from minecraft for harassment but i dont know how i was just playing my survival world with my friends and i logged off but when i logged back on i was banned i wasnt sure how but me and my brother share microsoft accounts and he might of done something so if your reading this please it wasnt me.

Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

Was it a temporary or permanent ban. If it's permanent they of course you cannot access it, but you might try signing in case it was temporary. Then you could possibly export your Minecraft Account to your Windows account to retrieve and install the game, as shown here:

As a last resort you could appeal to Minecraft to lift the ban to retrieve your game: Bans

Redeemed Minecraft with banned account

Hey Greg! Thanks for your response. The ban is on my old Xbox account and is permanent and was issued sometime around 2013. I thought I had swapped the email I used for that account for the newer account and logged into it and redeemed the code without realizing it was the older banned account. I've migrated my Minecraft account to a Microsoft account, but they seem to treat the Windows 10 version as a separate game and I do not have access to it.

It's frustrating knowing that permanently banned Xbox live accounts can still redeem game codes. It seems that I've wasted the money/free code completely. Do you know where I could talk to someone at Microsoft directly about this issue?
