    Why was Microsoft defender added recently?


    I had micorsoft defender years now when I decided to open my laptop and it said Microsoft defender was added recently. Also the defender icon had a yellow triangle about a thing that I had made yesterday and in general. Is it because of malware? I'm really nervous right now please answer me as soon as possible.

    Hi, we have 3 similar application. When I install one of them I see it in start menu and recently added list.

    When I install two other I see them in start menu, BUT they are not in recently added list.

    What can reason? Applications works OK if click in start menu.

    Where windows 10 get information to include exe in recently added list?

    Defender updates no longer shown

    I suggest you to follow the steps below:

    • Type defender in the search box.
    • Click on update.
    • Check for the date on which defender is being updated.
    • If the recent date is mentioned then it will not show in the Automatic Updates.
    • Also click on update definition and check if any update is pending.
