Windows 10: Why was my gift card refund request denied ?

I purchased a robux with my Microsoft gift card that was purchased with my rewards points but I never received an email with the code. I checked everywhere for an email and I receive emails from microsoft all the time so it's not like it could've been sent to the junk folder or anything. I requested a refund and was denied, I wasted 50,000 points for nothing.
