Windows 10: why were microphone bluetooth options made impossible with the windows 11 update?

i cannot use the microphone bluetooth options anymore, it used to allow me to go in and personally select the microphone and headphones i wanted to use if more than 1 were onnow you cant do thatthis makes it so infuriating because1. i have multiple pc games and pc apps that require microphone one of which is discord and now i cannot communicate with players anymore2. it makes it impossinle to use my mic because when i had connected my bluetooth 2 options for the same headphones came up and im unable to remove the extras3. IM UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH PEOPLE VIA MY MIC!!!if someone knows w

External microphone not showing in the Recording tab

My Windows 10 laptop is not recognizing any external microphones. I have two headsets: a Bluetooth one and one for an audio jack. Both headsets work correctly on other devices. When I connect the headsets to my computer, I can hear audio, but the microphones
do not work.

Here are the steps I've taken so far:

• Updated drivers (they were already up to date)
• From Sound Settings, headsets do not appear as options for the input device
• Ran the microphone troubleshooter - headsets do not appear as options
• From Control Panel > Sound > Recording, headsets do not appear as options. I have selected the disabled and disconnected devices options.
• From Microphone Privacy, all apps have access to the microphone.
  

That's everything I found online to fix this problem. Any suggestions?
