Windows 10: Why when i installing windows 10 my laptop keeps restarting repeating it doesn't stop and...

It keeps restarting over and over i can't even get to the login screen and restarting every 5 to 10 seconds

I deleted all my data. I had have it backed up.

I did a clean installation using the windows media creation tool (usb option).

No, I didn`t. I thought a clean installation would solve the problem.

After posting my previous message, I did it.





After chkdsk, I close cmd and tried to boot and the laptop just turned it off. This morning I`ve restarted it and automatically windows did a repair. Windows has booted and it seems that the repair tool has removed chrome and acrobat pdf reader (the only two programs I had installed after reinstalling windows).

Now Windows is installing updates and restarting my lapop, I`m kind of frightened. I don`t want it to happen again. Anyhow, I want to know what has brought the issue

I`ve been looking for information about the error code at the end of the picture and I didn`t get anywhere.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

My computer keeps restarting because windows update won't install KB4041676

I'm hoping MS fix it soon. I have had errors since the 2017-09 update. No cumulative update has installed since.

I think I have done all the suggestions, SFC, DISM, WU TroubleShooter, stop and start Services with file/folder deletes in between, uninstall antivirus, there is even a remove registry entry suggestion to stop the repeated installs but that doesn't help
finalize the install.

So I have currently paused the updates to stop the repeated installs and 15-20 minute wait.

Here is the list of failures...

1) Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: 2017-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4038788).

2) Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: 2017-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4040724).

3) And now the repeating installation of KB4041676 with the requires restart to finish but never does.

One interesting entry in the "Uninstall an update" list is "Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4034674) " since the "Installed On" date keeps changing to the current date after a failed update. I think this is the 2017-08 update. Also the KB4041676
update does appear in this list before the final reboot takes place. All very strange
