Windows 10: Why Widows 10 isnt showing my preferred Wifi network?

I reset my computer to factory settings, got all of the networks in the houses show on Windows 10 but one. The one I used before setting and other devices in the house are using.

Wifi Networks not showing

On my Laptop if I wanted to change the wifi connection I would always see a list of the available networks when I selected the Wifi icon on the task bar.
Since the last major update to Windows 10 I find that when I select the wifi icon I only see the current connection





To see other networks within range I have to open the 'Network settings' and choose 'Show available networks' - then they show up.





Does anyone have any explanation for this - or possibly a 'fix' to show them all from the taskbar again.

Currently, there is no way to "set" which WIFI should connect first.

WIFI attempts to connect in alphabetical order of the WIFI list.

One way I have been able to bypass a WIFI connection in my list-in your case,"network a"

Use the following steps to prevent a WIFI profile from connecting in WIFI network settings:

* tap/hold and edit the login for "network a", add a 1 to your username. i.e. chris1

* "network a" will no longer connect since login username is incorrect.

* The WIFI connection search will skip to your next option, "network b"

* This should now only connect to "network b"

In the future, when you want to use "network a" then tap/hold and correct the login.

*note- When the option to delete the WIFI connection is used, i.e. "network a", would be temporary and reappears upon WP7 searching for WIFI.

 

Wifi networks

Im at a hotel for the moment and I cant see their wifi on my gaming pc, if i turn on my mobile hotspot i can connect but the hotels wifi isnt showing up in the list of networks or any other networks for that matter ive tried everything ive seen online
and no luck i even called the hotels wifi services and they had no clue. All the drivers are up to date theres no network adapter problem im very confused.
