Windows 10: Why will desktop not recognize any usb webcams.

Long ago my Logitech webcam worked with my desktop. After moving one day it stopped working. I have a TUF Gaming B450 Motherboard, a Ryzen 5 3600 and a Nvidia 2060. I have attempted to solve this issue many times over the last 2 years gotten frustrated and used my laptop anytime I needed a camera. I have since completely reinstalled windows, and run Ccleaner's driver updater. The camera works fine plugged into my laptop, I tried my friends camera on my PC and it did not work. I have tried every port, and they all work fine for my mic, mouse or keyboard. When I plug any camera in I don't even s

Some USB Devices not recognized in Windows 10

Hi have Windows 10 Pro insider preview 10532 64bit Pro Intel i7 desktop PC.

I have multiple USB devices connected, USB 3 & 2. The USB HDD is working however my Samsung phone and kindle are no longer being recognized. The steps followed so far:

• Uninstalled all USB devices in device manager including controllers
• Flashed BIOS to latest version
• Updated USB drivers for the devices from manufacturers sites
• Tried new USB cables

Please note: both devices are recognized by my Windows 10 Lenovo laptop.

I really don't want to fresh install, please suggest any diagnostics I can try.

Webcam had disappeared

Hi,

The webcam may have stopped working due to hardware failure, or a loose cable that connects it to the device’s motherboard. We suggest that you try to show hidden devices in
Device Manager by following these steps:

• Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
• Click on the View tab and select Show hidden devices.
  

If you are seeing the webcam drivers, uninstall them. Then restart your device to check if Windows will be able to recognize the webcam and will install the drivers.

Did you download the latest webcam drivers for Windows 10 and check?

I suggest you to follow the below troubleshooting and check with the issue:

• 
  Disconnect the webcam from the USB port and wait at least 10 seconds.
  
• 
  Restart the computer.
  
• 
  Wait until Windows fully loads, and then plug the webcam into a different USB port.
  
• 
  In Windows, type Device Manager into Search, and then select
  Device Manager in the search results.
  
• 
  Double-click Imaging Devices to expand the list of webcams.
  
• 
  Double-click a webcam device. The properties screen displays the Device status. If there are no Imaging devices, select
  Action, then Scan for hardware changes and see the results.
  

To automatically resolve several known problems with Windows recognizing the webcam, click the Microsoft Fix it Solution and try using the webcam again.
