Windows 10: Why will no Bluray drives work on windows 11?

I have tried 4 different drives so far. I originally had older DVD writer Samsung SH-S203 installed and a older Blu-ray burner LG WH12LS30 when I updated from windows 10 to windows 11. At first the Blu-ray just would not read Blu-ray's any more. Now neither drive will work at all. Every optical drive I have tried gives the "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. Code 39 Object Name not found." I even purchased a brand new Blu-ray Pioneer BDR-212V and it gets the same error. Bluray drive not working after installing Windows 10

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop. A few years ago, I installed Windows 10. One thing I didn't do was to check that all the software and drives were still working. I recently tried to play a Bluray disc in the bluray drive that came standard when I purchased
the laptop. The drive plays regular dvds and cd. It rips cds correctly. It even recognizes the bluray disc and displays the correct title in file explorer. However, it cannot play the bluray dvd.

Is this a drive or driver issue? I would assume it should be a simple fix, as all other functions of the drive are working properly... I just can't get the bluray movie to play.

Note that my drive is a DVD/Bluray drive, not a DVD drive. I had a DVD drive before and it worked fine. It's first when I went with a Bluray drive is went wrong. Do you know if your solution takes Bluray into account?

 

Bluray issues with Windows 10

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately none of those steps worked. The problem I'm running into is that device manager is not recognizing the second bluray burner at all. I've unplugged it from the mb, plugged it back in and it doesn't do anything.
I even tried plugging it into different ports on the mb and still nothing. The bluray burner worked perfectly fine the night before the install of Win10. It does have power to it, it opens and closes fine, it even goes through initialization when starting
up the computer. Please let me know of any other suggestions. Thank you.
