"Why will this processor Processor IntelR CoreTM i7-7700T CPU @ 2.90GHz, 2904 Mhz, 4 Cores, 8 Logical Processors not be able to run windows 11? WINDOWS" After running the "PC Health Check" for Windows 11 Compatability, i found that my PC 's processor is no longer compatable. ? Why I exceed all of the requirements except for the processor.

will Windows 10 ever support 4 cores, 8 logical processors?

several thoughts about your comment:

1) In that link, the 32 cores and 256 cores is when he is referring to Win8 not Win10. Win10 is downgraded to 2 cores according to him.

2) when I do a "msinfo32.exe" on my computer, I get "Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)". So, I would think Microsoft would know what is on my computer, 4 cores 8 processors.

• Do other programs also show CPU 0 for Processor Affinity?
• What other applications use up the CPU in Task Manager? Please post a screenshot.
• Which build version of Windows 10 is on your computer? To check, click

Replace AMD Processor With Intel Processor.

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

The AMD A4 is an AMD CPU and Intel i7 is an Intel CPU, so they neither use the same socket nor the same chipset. They are both physically and electronically incompatible. So, you may not be able to replace the AMD processor with an Intel processor.

The close to equivalent processor for Intel i7 would be AMD A10 APU because it has a way more powerful integrated graphics chip, better multi-threading support, and the mobile processor provides 4 cores where as Intel mobile processor only has 2 cores.
