Windows 10: Why Win10 does not turn off my HDD-s when not in use?

In Windows7, I did not have this problem!

I have set "Turn off hard disk after 3 min"

My Windows10 is on SSD drive, I keep my other files (videos, pictures, backups) on separate HDD-s (inside PC). One of the HDD-s is actually totally empty, I clean formatted it to see if problem exists on this blank HDD and it does!


My HDD-s are showing temperatures 40 celsius!
In every 5 seconds, I hear a very small HDD activity.

I did CLEAN windows install, no use!

It so annoying and bad for HDD lifespan...

HDD was unreadable
causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:

  Reconnect
  your
  HDD
  and
  restart
  your

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
