Why Windows 10 Settings dialogs have no OK, Apply and Cancel buttons?

I'm trying to re-gain the productivity i.e. speed of my computer to pre W10 W7 time. After doubling the memory of the PC a month or so ago, and still not getting near the speed I used to have, I ended up at "Background Apps" settings. I trust Apps are the same as Programs used to be before Microsoft started to make PC look like Android phone. As I was thinking what I might need — and which of these Apps I really recognize there is no way to click the app's name to see even a short description — I started flipping the switch

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Settings dialogs have no OK or Apply buttons?

I have a new out-of-the-box Dell M4800 that came with Win 8.1. I selected the Windows 10 upgrade during initial setup.

After setup was complete I wanted to change some settings (see below), but I noticed there were no OK, Apply or Cancel buttons on any of the Settings pages. As a result, whatever I changed would revert to its previous value after restarting.

I was logged in as a local account that matches the account credentials of the old computer, but I see the same behavior when logged in using my microsoft account.

Is there a fix for this?

The specific settings I was trying to change:
•uncheck several unsecured wireless networks Windows 10 is automatically connecting to (VERY BAD!)

•Remove the above networks (they aren't even listed under "Manage...").

•Turn off windows firewall and defender in preparation for ZInstall migration

  4. Why Windows 10 Settings dialogs have no OK, Apply and Cancel buttons?

    Why doesn't Vietnamese Windows 10 translate OK/Cancel/Apply?

Hi, my team is working with a system that reads the string resources of windows. In windows 7 you are translating to Vietnamese, but in windows 10 you are not translating the OK/Cancel/Apply buttons.

We need to know what is happening, as creating our own string resource is not an option within the planned changes.

    Regards.
