    Hello Microsoft Community,I am trying to perform a clean installation of Windows 11, version 24H2, using the official Media Creation Tool downloaded from the Microsoft website. I have been attempting this periodically since February 2025, hoping to get an updated ISO.My most recent download of the Media Creation Tool and the subsequent ISO creation was on May 14, 2025. Each time, without fail, the resulting ISO has the build 10.0.26100.2033.I am aware of the Microsoft advisory note regarding this specific issue, detailed here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/resolved-i

    There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?

    Windows 10 media creation tool downloaded an older build

    Thank you for replying so quickly.

    I downloaded the Windows 10 media Creation Tool from the link that you posted and it is the same as what I used before. Both are named as follows:

    MediaCreationTool1809.exe



    Both also show the same build number you listed. 10.0.17763.1.

    The build of the Install.esd file that was created is 10.0.17134.1. which is build 1804 and not 1809

    I have a very basic setup with a 4th gen I7 so it is an older system that has been around for a while and shouldn't have any issues accepting the 1809 update.

    I couldn't get that update to install which is part of the reason for doing a clean install. It would never show up in my updates even using the update assistant. I just don't want to go through all of this just to
    have the same exact problem and still not be able to update to 1809.
