Windows 10: why windows 11 handwriting recognition is not that efficient & how to make it truly efficient

first computers did need to have a keyboard to write because back then there was no ability for having a pen, but now the game has been changed and now we can use the pen to express all of our feelings & thoughts as we can do on papers, but there is still a lack of efficiency for using the surface pen in everything on windows 11 when it comes to handwriting recognition, and here is why >1- it's not supported for many languages, and that is not that hard or impossible to be done many small AI companies can do that so why not Microsoft?2- in the English language the recognition d

Handwriting recognition is significantly worse in Windows 10

A great question. MyScript Stylus is a nice program but it is not optimized for Windows 10. I have had very poor recognition results using it with Windows 10. I think the real issue about all this is that handwriting recognition worked well in earlier
Windows version (XP, Vista, 7, 8, +8.1) and now it does not. As a writer and researcher I have used handwriting for many years. I began using it as an alternative to typing because I was dealing with Lyme disease and my hands hurt. I very quick learned,
however, that for me composing with handwriting is much more efficient than typing. Sure, handwriting isn't for everyone, but its a shame that while tablet hardware has improved dramatically over the last ten years, handwriting recognition in Windows has
declined so dramatically.

 

How to get handwriting recognition to recognise diacritical marks?

You must install German handwriting recognition.

Step 1: Install German language from Settings > Time & Language > Language > Add a language:





Step 2: Select German, unselect Install language pack, select Handwriting:





That should do it!
