Windows 10: Why Windows basic display adapter causing a BSOD?

Hello all,it's my first time to post here,I have a windows 7 upgraded to windows 10,But exploring the features of windows 10 noticed that the brightness switch and dark mode is not working on my displayother says,I need to to update driver or switch to windows basic display adapter,I updated all drivers required and nothing happens.Now I try to switch to windows basic display adapter because it's said the adapter is supported,but when the "installing" appeared,it turn to blue screen of death,after restarting,the drivers still on default Intel graphics..but the driver latest version is sinc

VGN-FS570, clean install from xp to win 10 having a problem the graphic display, only seeing microsoft basic display adapter, not getting the full screen of the display, cannot change the adapter, tried
to install adapter, not supported by your device

the problem is cannot change microsoft basic display adapter, not getting full screen on display, also seeing a yellow arrow on the adapter in device manager, was able to get full screen when using win xp. how do i fix this problem,
I have tried numerous technique without success
