  1. Why Windows Explorer in Windows 11 starts activating address line instead of New Folder name

When I create a new folder in Windows Explorer it normally creates the "New Folder" and it activates the name of it for an immediate edit. That is a standard behavior. But as soon as I activate the address line in the Windows Explorer window i.e. to copy the path it changes the behavior of that particular instance of Windows Explorer. As soon as I create a new folder, it jumps to the editing of the address line instead of starting an editing/renaming the "New Folder".This can only be avoided by starting the new session of Windows Explorer window and it again works normally until the address l

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. Windows 11 File Explorer - focus jumps to address bar when creating new folder

In Windows 11 File Explorer, when I create a new folder instead of moving the typing focus to the folder's name it jumps to the address bar. I.e.:

    1. I click the "new folder" button (or right-click -> new folder)

    2. It creates a new folder called "New Folder"

    3. The cursor moves to the Windows 11 address bar. This sets the new folder's name to "New Folder" and if I type anything it types it into the address bar

    4. I have to click on the "New Folder" folder and go through the standard folder rename process (e.g. press F2 or right-click -> rename).

How do I stop this? I expect that when I create a new folder I can type it's name directly.
