Windows 10: Why windows update is taking more then 5 hours?

Dear reader,2 problems:1The updates are frustrating.Always the laptop is updating for at least 1/2 hour.Today is is updating for 5 hours.I don't get is why almost every day a update is nessesary.Because it is a older laptop the system use during updates is about 85%Windows module instal worker is always slow. I use my older laptop still with Photoshop and i can watch 4K movies on it. So it is not the slowest machine.The amount and time to install the updates is frustrating.My next laptop wil be a Apple and this is only due to the updates.I been using windows from version 3.0 and up. That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Well that's why I asked. Mine is on SSD and takes 11 seconds. Your list of games will not appear if it has not checkd for updated suggested settings for awhile until it checks.

When it says it is refreshing the game list, it is checking, because NVIDIA periodically updates suggested settings. Plus it will look for those for new games you have installed.

So, the less it is run, the slower it will be.

Windows update has been updating for about 5 hours now does anyone know how long it takes?
