    Why Winows 11 does not save my configuration for keyboard layout


    I have a windows laptop with italian language and english keyboard layout US, intl alt..After every reboot od shutdown, keeps popping in the icons this situation ITA INTL optionIt let me choose between keyboard layouts even if I have only one layout installed.To remove this icon I have to open the option menu as shown only one keyboard installed:and I have to install the italan keyboard layout and then remove it to make disappear the icon:Is it possible to eliminate this routine every time I reboot my PCThanks

    Custom Keyboard Layouts in Windows 11

    A wonderful day everyone,

    Previously I have used the Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator to create custom keyboard layouts, however not only is Windows 11 not listed as a supported operating system, but I cannot use the installed keyboards as they get shrugged off as "Unavailable input method" and are also unselectable as they break the taskbar language button in strange ways.

    Does anyone have a suggestion as to how one can create a functioning keyboard layout for Windows 11? It'd be much appreciated.

    This suggests to me that you are using the wrong "keyboard language" for your keyboard, and that therefore you first step would be to determine exactly what language keyboard you have. Possibly have a look at Windows Keyboard Layouts - Globalization | Microsoft Docs.

    (The age of any laptop capable of running Windows 10 at all should not be a problem as regards keyboard layout)

    Self-configured keyboard?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below to configure the keyboard layout:


    • Open Settings and click on Time and Language.

    • Click on Region and Language.

    • Add the Country and click on add a language and select the language of your choice.

    • This will take time to download the pack.

    • Once this is done, Press Windows key + Space and press Space key to choose the keyboard layout.
