Windows 10: why wont application start when i plug in USB device

Discus and support why wont application start when i plug in USB device in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; It used to be the case that when i plugged in my USB device, the associated application would automatically run.     why wont application start when i plug in USB device


    It used to be the case that when i plugged in my USB device, the associated application would automatically run. This stopped 2-3 weeks ago. why?

    usb deviced not dectected in windows application

    I have an application running in Windows 10. The device is recognized by windows 10 but not by the application.

    After the device is plugged into the usb port and recognized by windows 10 the error message in the application appears Device Not Detected

    I was wondering if the a resolution to the problem or a list of steps i may follow to debug the problem

    USB devices not working after Device Manager spring clean


    The USB ports started failing intermittently again and then permanently.

    Reinstalled 1703 again and that fixed it for a while then they started failing again.

    When I plug in any peripheral it shows up in device manager with the exclamation mark.

    I right-click 'update driver'
    Choose 'browse my computer...'
    'Let me pick from a list of...'
    Select the best candidate

    Then the device will work. Until it is unplugged and plugged in again...

    Then we are back to square one for that device.

    Are there any suggestions for kicking the USB hub back to life so it recognises ordinary USB devices like mouses and keyboards without a manual driver update?

    USB devices not working


    Since my PC was updated to Windows 10 I have been having trouble with USB devices not working. It appears the drivers do not load or do not work. Example is my Saitek rudder pedals. They appear to be fully installed and appear in the device list but they do not work. I go into the device manager and update the driver to the exact same driver and it works.
    I plug in my iPhone and it is recognized as an iPhone but appears in the Other Devices with a yellow exclamation. A check and it says there are no drivers. Manually find the drivers and update them and it is good until I pull it out. Next time I plug it in same thing.
    Phantom 3 pro wont show the disk drive and have to load in a generic disk drive driver and all good. This list goes on.

    I have found no suggestion on the net that help me so far.

    Anyone else had this issue and have they solved it?
