Windows 10: Why won't edge save my passwords any more?

Microsoft Edge used to save my passwords but it doesn't any more. It may once in a while its hit or miss but most of the time it doesn't. I have it selected to save passwords but it still doesn't. I even installed edge again but it didn't help. any ideas?

If you are willing to save password on Edge then you may try the steps provided below and see if it helps.

When you visit a website that requires you to sign in, Microsoft Edge will ask if you want your user name and password remembered. The next time you visit the site, Microsoft Edge will finish filling in your account info. Password saving is on by default,
but here's how to turn it on or off:

• 
  In the Microsoft Edge browser, select More actions (...)
  > Settings > View Advanced Settings.

  Turn Offer to save passwords to On.

MS Edge not saving passwords

if you disabe\restart\enable back it may start working and offer to save passwords.
if not next step that could help is to reset edge to factory defaults.

 

MS Edge not saving passwords

For the last few days, MS Edge is not saving my passwords. My password list is empty. I don't even get a prompt to save a password anymore.
How can I fix this?
