Windows 10: Why won't Microsoft apps update properly? and is there a way to make them update in a...

Microsoft apps such as photos aren't working properly. Any time you go to open any photo a pop-up states this application can't be accessed as a newer version is available.The Microsoft Store is set to automatic updates, however that doesn't really seem to work until you press update now and sometimes the photos app still requires you to reset it for it to work properly after updating.We use a computer monitoring system that I know does affect the updating process being saved. So, I was wondering if there is way to have Microsoft app updates run at a certain time during the week?

Windows updates won't install!

I had the same problem when i repaired my O/S, i forgot the steps on how to fixed it, but it is in the microsoft support forum.

You have to reinstall the windows updater, then restart the updating service.

Store Settings "Update apps automatically" won`t stay switched off. WHY?

The possible reason why Update apps automatically turn back on is that the Store app is running in the background. We suggest that you turn off the Store app. This way, it won't receive any updates or send notifications unless opened or turned on
manually.

To turn off Store app, follow these steps:

• Click the Windows logo, then go to Settings.
• Click Privacy, then Background apps.
  
• On the list, locate Store and toggle it off.

Sound driver won't instal properly

go to device manager, the right click on the sound driver in the list... disable it

then in your web browser go to the microsoft update page, find a driver for it... (in the hardware section after scanning for updates).

that should work and youll need to reboot afterwards
