Windows 10: Why won't my D Drive appear on Windows 11?

I was listening to music on Windows Media Player Legacy and the program crashed out of nowhere. It said it couldn't find the directory for the music midway through the track because apparently Disk Drive D disappeared. I tried updating my drives, searching for drives, changing the drive names which I couldn't do; the drive wasn't there, and I tried loading a backup of my laptop but I didn't have any backups. The only thing I haven't tried is looking inside the laptop. I tried opening files in my recents that were in Drive D and they just didn't open. I have no idea what to do and why it

• Type Command prompt in the search bar.
• Type-in the following command:
  
  attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*
• Press Enter to execute the command.

If you think that there is nothing important stored in it, then we suggest that you reformat your D drive so that you can use the free space for important files.

You can follow the steps below to start with the process:

• Click on the File Explorer.
• Select This PC.
• Right-click on your D drive, then click on Format.
• Follow the on-screen process to finish formatting the partition.

laptop DVD drive not appearing on windows?

Well my cousin is coming down soon with his laptop to get his DVD drive fixed because on my computers his DVD drive isn't appeared on the list,he can eject his DVD drive but it doesn't appear on windows..anyone know how to fix this?? would entering bios help?? would i be able to format it?

I'd like to wait until you reply to my question in Scrsht 12, if it is a remnant of the process try deleting the one on the dsktp and see if the one in send to also disappears. If it stays in send to, test it, and if you're still having problems I'd suggest you could go back to: Option One: To Add or Remove Items in Send To context menu for Your Account (current user) and do Step 3 to remove it and start over using Step 4 but be very careful of your steps in creating the shortcut and be sure you d&d that shortcut to the send to part of the address.
