    Why won’t my laptop open my authenticator when disconnected from work internet?


    My laptop will not let me move from the login screen to the Authenticator page when I am not connected to my work’s internet. I enter my password and it goes black then lands on the screensaver/time screen again. From that point, I am able to enter my password but then it just goes right back to the screensaver instead of the Authenticator. As soon as I am reconnected to my work’s Wi-Fi or Ethernet, I am able to move on to the Authenticator page and get fully logged in, but as soon as my laptop is disconnected from my work’s internet the Authenticator page never becomes an option again. I have

    Why won’t my laptop open my authenticator when disconnected from work internet?

    My laptop will not let me move from the login screen to the Authenticator page when I am not connected to my work’s internet. I enter my password and it goes black then lands on the screensaver/time screen again. From that point, I am able to enter my password but then it just goes right back to the screensaver instead of the Authenticator.

    As soon as I am reconnected to my work’s Wi-Fi or Ethernet, I am able to move on to the Authenticator page and get fully logged in, but as soon as my laptop is disconnected from my work’s internet the Authenticator page never becomes an option again.

    I have previously had no issues using my laptop from home or anywhere off-site. My IT department has run every update and checked for bugs and has had no luck finding the issue.

    Anyone have any advice? It would be greatly appreciated!!

    AT&T wasn't much of a help. All they suggested was to replace my router and modem with their products.

    The disconnections never happen when I surf the web
